J&YLaw in Century City, CA, is seeking a Senior Personal Injury Pre-Litigation Attorney to independently manage high-value plaintiff PI cases from intake through settlement. The role offers strong earning potential with performance bonuses and leads a team within the Pre-Litigation Department.

The candidate will negotiate substantial settlements, mentor junior attorneys, and help refine SOPs to improve efficiency and outcomes. A California Bar license and 8+ years of PI experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• 8+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience (with emphasis on pre-litigation).
• Proven track record of negotiating substantial, high-value settlements.
• Leadership or mentoring experience in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities

• Caseload management: Independently direct high-value plaintiff PI cases from intake through settlement.
• Settlement negotiation: Draft comprehensive demand packages and negotiate directly with insurance adjusters and defense counsel; participate in mediations to maximize recovery.
• Strategic case evaluation: Analyze liability, coverage, medical progression, and damages; transition litigation-bound cases seamlessly.
• Team leadership and mentorship: Provide guidance, review work products, and mentor junior attorneys, case managers, and support staff.
• Department innovation: Collaborate with firm leadership to refine SOPs, improve workflow efficiency and elevate department performance.
• Client advocacy: Serve as the primary trusted advisor, providing high-touch guidance and regular case updates.
