Job summary

Hooper, Lundy & Bookman, P.C, a boutique health law firm, seeks one or two junior or mid-level associates to join its health care litigation team. Most team members work remotely with no in-office attendance requirement, and California licensure is required for candidates located in or near Los Angeles, San Francisco, or San Diego.

The firm represents large health systems, post-acute providers, physicians, labs, pharmacies, and digital health companies across the care continuum.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in California or eligibility to register.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in a litigation context.

Responsibilities

• Represent health care providers in complex litigation and regulatory matters.
• Draft briefs, motions, and other pleadings with clarity and precision.
• Manage discovery, including e-discovery, and supervise depositions and subpoenas.
• Collaborate with colleagues in fraud, licensing, and health care transactions.
