Job summary

K2 Staffing, LLC is recruiting for an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead regulatory compliance at a California chemical manufacturing facility. The role requires hands-on leadership, field presence, and close collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and site leadership to maintain safe, compliant plant operations.

Qualifications

Significant California EHS regulatory experience in chemical or process manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of CalARP, Cal/OSHA, DTSC, and related programs.
Experience managing environmental permits, reporting, inspections, and audits.
Proven ability to lead site EHS teams and training programs.
Excellent technical writing and regulatory documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as the site's EHS technical authority and lead compliance programs.
Interpret federal, California, and local regulations and determine applicability to operations.
Manage environmental permits, regulatory reporting, inspections, records, and required actions.
Lead site programs for air quality, hazardous materials, waste, CalARP, wastewater, and TRI/EPCRA.
Directly supervise and develop the EHS Specialist and EHS staff.
Develop and manage the annual EHS department budget and drive improvements.
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and leadership to strengthen EHS accountability.
