Qualifications

Active California law license.
5–7 years of civil litigation experience, including collections or creditors' rights is a plus.
Experience appearing in court and handling hearings independently.
Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and filings.
Ability to review and sign high volumes of legal documents accurately.
Skilled negotiation and settlements with opposing counsel.

Responsabilités

Represent clients in court hearings and related civil litigation and collection matters.
Review, approve, and sign a high volume of pleadings and filings.
Manage litigation matters and ensure compliance with CA court rules.
Review discovery materials and determine appropriate actions.
Negotiate settlements with involved parties and counsel.
Prepare and file legal documents and ensure timely filings.
Communicate with Managing Attorney, clients, and staff on progress.
Conduct legal research and evaluate potential outcomes.
Coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
Assist with audits and compliance related to litigation.
Stay informed of changes in state and federal debt-collection laws.
