Qualifications

• Active California law license is required.
• 5–7 years of civil litigation experience, preferably including collections or creditors' rights.
• Experience appearing in court and handling hearings independently.
• Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and filings.
• Ability to review and sign a high volume of documents accurately.
• Proven negotiation and settlements experience.
• Experience coaching or mentoring colleagues.
• Strong written and verbal communication, research, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online research tools.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in court hearings and related civil litigation matters.
• Review, approve, and sign a high volume of pleadings, motions, and filings.
• Manage litigation matters in compliance with California rules.
• Review discovery materials and evaluate case information.
• Negotiate settlements with various parties.
• Prepare and file legal documents and oversee filings.
• Communicate progress with the Managing Attorney, clients, and staff.
• Conduct legal research and evaluate potential outcomes.
• Coordinate with outside counsel as needed.
• Assist with litigation-related client audits and compliance.
• Stay informed of state and federal debt collection laws.
