Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners partners with an established California law firm to recruit an experienced attorney for civil litigation and creditors' rights. The role combines courtroom representation with document review, signing, case oversight, and settlement negotiations.

The ideal candidate is comfortable appearing in court, handling a high volume of legal filings, and independently managing litigation responsibilities while working with an experienced legal support team.

Qualifications

• Active California law license required.
• 5–7 years of civil litigation experience, preferably including collections/creditors' rights.
• Experience appearing in court and independently handling hearings.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and filings.
• Ability to review and sign a high volume of documents accurately.
• Proven ability to analyze cases and negotiate settlements.
• Experience coaching or mentoring colleagues or support staff.
• Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research tools.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in court hearings and related civil litigation and collection matters.
• Review, approve, and sign a high volume of pleadings and filings.
• Manage litigation matters in compliance with California court rules.
• Review discovery materials and evaluate case information for action.
• Negotiate settlements with various parties and opposing counsel.
• Prepare and file necessary legal documents on time.
• Communicate progress to Managing Attorney, clients, and staff.
• Conduct legal research and apply statutes and precedents.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and other professionals as needed.
• Assist with client audits and compliance requirements.
• Stay informed on changes in debt collection and related laws.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate case records and manage deadlines across matters.
