Overview/Job Responsibilities

Sev1Tech is seeking a Senior Capture Manager reporting to the VP of C5ISR Growth. This role involves participating in strategic growth initiatives related to key accounts, managing all capture activities across Business Development, Capture, Proposal phases, and post-submittal activities to increase win probability within Sev1Tech's C5ISR Division. The ideal candidate leads and mentors staff through complex pursuits and captures, possessing both strategic vision and hands-on expertise.

The Senior Capture Manager is a vital member of the growth team, focusing on enhancing win strategies and rates, anticipating challenges, and positioning Sev1Tech for large-scale opportunities.

Primary responsibilities include:

  1. Developing Capture Plans and selecting team members in coordination with leadership.
  2. Maintaining opportunity CRM and adhering to capture progression and Gate Reviews.
  3. Formulating final win themes, strategies, value propositions, and differentiators.
  4. Conducting Price to Win analyses and establishing PTW targets.
  5. Leading development of technical and management solutions.
  6. Supporting proposal development, including drafting Executive Summaries and guiding review processes.
  7. Analyzing competitors' capabilities and conducting SWOT analyses.
  8. Managing NDA requests, teaming agreements, and SOW preparations.
  9. Negotiating teaming shares and work lanes, ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
  10. Securing resources, facilitating team meetings, and defining roles and responsibilities.
  11. Fostering positive team relationships and developing activity schedules and milestones.
  12. Applying industry best practices to increase win probability through strategic development.
  13. Identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  14. Leading the creation of capture strategies, win themes, and gap analyses.
  15. Encouraging creativity in pricing and solutions.
  16. Conducting after-action reviews to improve capture techniques.
  17. Completing B&P requests and resource estimates.

The candidate must be onsite at the Corporate Headquarters in Woodbridge, VA, 3 days a week.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Recent experience leading to the award of major programs ($100M+).
  • At least 10 years of leading single-award prime captures.
  • Proven success in winning large deals.
  • Experience penetrating new markets with solutions like IT modernization, cybersecurity, cloud, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams, with strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience with teaming partner selection and negotiations.
  • Established relationships with government and industry stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of federal procurement, acquisition trends, and BD lifecycle.
  • Executive presence and leadership qualities for senior management roles.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.

Education requirements include a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in science, engineering, or business; advanced degrees are highly desirable.

Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship and be able to obtain a government clearance.

Desired qualifications include:

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Proactive, problem-solving orientation with sound judgment and management skills.

  • Strong understanding of capture processes and industry trends.
