Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking an Engineer Systems 2 to support GCCS operations at the Navy Warfare Development Center, Norfolk. The role covers system integration, testing, and onsite/remote troubleshooting of C4I systems for Fleet and task force staffs during FST-O events.

Qualifications

• 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
• Candidates must be able to analyze and troubleshoot at the system level to detect and resolve problems and will require interaction with Military, Government and Contractor Leadership.
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours and work weeks of more than 40 hours to meet business, customer, and contractual requirements.
• Strong background in Common Tactical Picture Management (CTPM), GCCS-M/J.
• Must obtain COMPTIA Security+ within first 90 days of employment.
• Must complete Cyber Security Workforce OS course within first 90 days of employment.
• Must address technical issues and engage engineers from appropriate domains to resolve.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must have an Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
• Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
• Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• The Specialist will be required to perform Operations on all NSWC C4I systems and Maintenance as required.
• Interface with outside agencies to provide C4I system connectivity between major commands and will assist with the testing and integration of new C4I technologies.
• Provide knowledge and expertise in operating Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J) system.
• Provide Onsite and remote troubleshooting support for C4I systems across NCTE Enterprise.
• Prepare reports and briefs as required.
