Job summary

Leidos is seeking a C4A Systems Engineer Subject Matter Expert in Suffolk, VA. The role provides expert leadership across C4A, network security, and interoperability, guiding design, testing, and sustainment of complex architectures for joint and coalition operations.

The successful candidate will support DoD classified networks and coalition releasable environments, delivering analytical briefings and project leadership to ensure mission success.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with an active Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years related experience; Master’s degree with 2+ years may substitute.
• Minimum 4 years supporting military operational activities; 4 years Targeting experience.
• C5ISRT and Targeting Experience.
• Experience developing target packages with detailed intelligence, capabilities and vulnerabilities.
• Experience in multi-domain mission planning and effects-based targeting.
• Experience with automated targeting tools (e.g. JTT, MIDB) and service fire control systems.
• Deep understanding of the F2T2EA Cycle and data tools for targeting.
• Communicate effectively in written reports and presentations.
• Ability to interview operational and technical personnel to extract information.
• Analytical skills to identify capabilities and limitations.

Responsibilities

• C4A Engineering - Planning, preparation, research, coordination, and execution of C4A and engineering-related tasks, delivering expert technical guidance and operational analysis.
• Analytical Product Development - Develop and deliver technical assessments, reports, and executive briefings.
• Systems Testing & Validation - Plan and execute testing to validate network architectures and interoperability.
• Project Execution & Reporting - Monitor task execution and report status to leadership and stakeholders.
• Technical Training & Knowledge Transfer - Conduct internal training to enhance readiness.
• Sustainment & Operational Excellence - Support sustainment for quality, efficiency, reliability.
• Operational & Technical Analysis - Interview personnel to gather requirements and assess mission impacts.
• Enterprise Network Engineering - Design, implement, and maintain secure environments.
• Network Lifecycle Management - Support full lifecycle including security and documentation.
• Coalition & Interoperability Engineering - Ensure seamless information sharing across environments.
• Project Engineering Leadership - Develop project plans and manage schedules and risks.
• Technical Test Development - Create test cases and validation methodologies.
• Zero Trust & Data-Centric Security Integration - Apply Zero Trust in architectures.
• Emerging Technology Evaluation - Assess new technologies and approaches.
• Documentation & Configuration Management - Maintain engineering docs and baselines.
