Job summary

Leidos in Suffolk, VA seeks a C4A Systems Engineer Subject Matter Expert to provide expert leadership across C4A activities, designing, integrating, testing, and sustaining complex network architectures for joint and coalition operations.

The role spans systems engineering, network engineering, cybersecurity, interoperability testing, and project leadership to enable mission success in multi-domain environments. Secret clearance and DoD experience preferred.

Qualifications

• US Citizen with an active Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years related experience; Master’s degree may substitute.
• Minimum 4 years supporting military operational activities; 4 years Targeting experience.
• Experience with C5ISRT and Targeting.
• Experience developing target packages and targeting lists with details.
• Experience with multi-domain mission planning and effects-based targeting.
• Experience with automated targeting tools such as JTT and MIDB.
• Deep understanding of the F2T2EA Cycle and data tools for targeting.
• Ability to communicate effectively in reports and briefings.
• Ability to interview operational and technical personnel to extract information.

Responsibilities

• C4A Engineering - planning, coordination, and execution of C4A tasks with expert guidance.
• Analytical Product Development - deliver technical assessments and executive briefings.
• Systems Testing & Validation - plan and execute testing for interoperability and security.
• Project Execution & Reporting - monitor tasks and report to leadership and stakeholders.
• Technical Training & Knowledge Transfer - internal training on systems engineering and cybersecurity.
• Sustainment & Operational Excellence - ensure quality and productivity across tasks.
• Operational & Technical Analysis - gather requirements and assess mission impacts.
• Enterprise Network Engineering - design and maintain secure environments.
• Network Lifecycle Management - across architecture design to troubleshooting.
• Coalition & Interoperability Engineering - support joint coalition environments.
• Project Engineering Leadership - develop plans and manage teams and risks.
• Technical Test Development - create test plans and validation methodologies.
• Zero Trust & Data-Centric Security Integration - apply Zero Trust and DCS.
• Emerging Technology Evaluation - assess new technologies for performance and security.
• Documentation & Configuration Management - maintain docs and baselines.
