Job summary

MTSI is seeking a talented Principal Systems Engineer – Advanced Technologies to contribute to C3BM systems engineering and integration, with a focus on space-based data utilization for missile tracking and cueing. The role requires experienced leadership in large DoD programs and cross-domain coordination at SECRET/TS levels.

You will drive system engineering execution, oversee integration of new infrared sensors, and support acquisition actions to secure contracts and ensure equipment

Qualifications

• Secret clearance required.
• 12+ years on missile defense-related or large DoD programs.
• Master’s Degree in STEM.
• Proficiency in system engineering and execution processes.
• Experience with missile defense weapon systems, radars, C2BMC or BMDS OPIR Architecture (BOA).
• Ability to lead implementation of system engineering processes for integration and transition of capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Cruise Missile Indications and Warning development
• Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) integration
• Enterprise Sensors Lab (ESL) prototype evaluation
• Fielding Enterprise Sensors Processing Node (ESPN) operational capabilities
• Coordinate and actively participate in technical reviews at SECRET and TS levels
• Evaluate performance of Infrared data exploitation capabilities during real world events and assist with assessing and integrating new infrared sensors into the MDA/DCC portfolio of capabilities
• Prepare and present explanatory briefings for operators, developers and executive leaders and assist program manager in all acquisition actions to get contractors on contract, coordinate to obtain all required Government Furnished Equipment and Information, and assess overall contractor performance

In this role you will be part of the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) systems engineering efforts to include engaging in Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) technical engineering and integration, future concepts, new functionality, and multi-national exchange designs.

• Must have some experience with or knowledge of missile defense weapon systems, radars, C2BMC or BMDS OPIR Architecture (BOA)
• Capable of leading implementation of system engineering processes to facilitate integration and transition of emerging capabilities into operations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Current Top Secret/with SCI eligibility is preferred
• Ability to assess maturity of software code and overall Technology Readiness Levels
