Job summary

APEX TK LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our C3BM systems engineering efforts, including engaging in C2BMC technical engineering and integration, future concepts, new functionality, and multinational exchange designs. The role requires a Secret clearance or higher, 12+ years of missile defense or large DoD program experience, and a Master’s Degree in STEM.

Proficiency in system engineering processes and experience with C2BMC/BMDS OPIR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Secret Clearance or higher required.
• 12+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project.
• Master’s Degree in STEM required.
• Proficiency in system engineering and execution processes.
• Experience with missile defense weapon systems, radars, C2BMC or BMDS OPIR Architecture (BOA).
• Capable of leading implementation of system engineering processes to facilitate integration and transition of emerging capabilities into operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct system engineering support in planning and executing space system data exploitation capabilities for missile tracking, discrimination, and cueing.
• Coordinate and actively participate in technical reviews at SECRET and TS levels.
• Prepare and present explanatory briefings for operators, developers and executive leaders; assist program manager in acquisition actions to get contractors on contract and coordinate to obtain Government Furnished Equipment and Information.
• Assess performance of infrared data exploitation capabilities and assist with integrating new infrared sensors into the MDA/DCC portfolio of capabilities.

In this role you will be part of the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) systems engineering efforts to include engaging in Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) technical engineering and integration, future concepts, new functionality, and multi-national exchange designs.

Job Description/Responsibilities

• Responsible for conducting system engineering support in planning and executing space system data exploitation capabilities for missile tracking, discrimination, and cueing.
• Responsibilities include the following: Cruise Missile Indications and Warning development; Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA) integration, Enterprise Sensors Lab (ESL) prototype evaluation, and fielding Enterprise Sensors Processing Node (ESPN) operational capabilities. Coordinate and actively participate in technical reviews at SECRET and TS levels.
• Evaluate performance of Infrared data exploitation capabilities during real world events and assist with assessing and integrating new infrared sensors into the MDA/DCC portfolio of capabilities.
• Prepare and present explanatory briefings for operators, developers and executive leaders and assist program manager in all acquisition actions to get contractors on contract, coordinate to obtain all required Government Furnished Equipment and Information, and assess overall contractor performance.

• Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Current Top Secret/with SCI eligibility is preferred
• Ability to assess maturity of software code and overall Technology Readiness Levels
