Job summary

Medical Data Systems is seeking a C#/.NET Desktop Application Developer to join its Vero Beach team. You will design, develop, and maintain Windows desktop apps using WinForms, SQL Server, and .NET Framework, collaborating with users and IT to translate requirements into practical software solutions.

This full-time role offers a starting salary of $70,000 with full benefits and a chance to work across multiple applications and business processes in a small, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and at least 1 year of professional programming experience
• 1+ years of professional experience developing applications with C#/.NET
• 1+ years of experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases
• Experience with WinForms or a comparable Windows desktop application framework
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or Sybase
• Working knowledge of software development principles, testing, debugging, and application architecture
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical business users
• Ability to manage multiple projects or priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, test, document, and maintain Windows desktop applications using C# and .NET Framework
• Developing and enhancing Windows desktop applications using C# and .NET Framework 4
• Working with WinForms applications and relational databases
• Translating business requirements into practical software solutions
• Working directly with business users and IT team members to understand problems and determine the best technical solution
• Analyzing production issues, identifying root causes, and developing solutions
• Designing, developing, testing, documenting, and deploying application changes
• Performing unit testing, integration testing, and other quality-assurance activities
• Participating in code reviews and maintaining development standards
• Using Visual Studio and Git as part of the development process
• Supporting applications throughout their lifecycle and improving existing systems when opportunities are identified
• Learning the business processes behind the applications you develop so that you can make informed technical decisions
