Job summary

Lone Star Food Stores in Denton, TX is seeking a store associate to operate the cash register, assist customers, and stock shelves. You will greet customers, locate items, and help maintain the store’s cleanliness and organization.

This role requires willingness to work any area of the store, stand and walk all day, and lift up to 30 pounds. Previous customer service experience is a plus and a positive, team-oriented attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale system.
• Position requires standing, bending and walking the entire workday.
• Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and provide accurate change to cash-paying customers.
• Show customers the locations of items they are looking for and suggest complementary items when appropriate.
• Greet customers when they walk through the door and ask if they need assistance.
• Restock shelves when needed to ensure optimum availability of products.
• Unpack shipments in the store room and categorize them appropriately.
• Clean and maintain the inside and exterior of the convenience store and ensure that trash cans are properly emptied and cleaned.
• Clean and maintain men’s and women’s restrooms to our Royal Restrooms standards.
• Work any area of our store when needed.
• Contribute to a positive atmosphere by providing excellent customer service and fostering team spirit.
