Job summary

River Country Cooperative is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support operations at our C-Store. You will assist the Store Manager with checkout, merchandising, layout, inventory, bookkeeping, and maintenance, acting as Manager in their absence.

This role requires at least a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of five years in retail. Strong computer skills, including POS systems and internet use, are essential to manage pricing, orders, and reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 5+ years retail/store experience.
• Proficient in computer usage, including POS systems and internet.
• Knowledge of retail operations and inventory processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with daily operations including checkout and merchandising.
• Supervise the sale of all retail goods and services including money drop procedures.
• Monitor and maintain all food service areas.
• Review, update, and correct retail pricing on all items.
• Train, manage and supervise C-Store Clerks in Manager's absence.
• Perform open and close processes as needed.
• Receive, verify, and process merchandise and vendor shipments.
• Order merchandise to maintain proper inventory levels of product.
• Oversee and/or stock and display merchandise and supplies.
