Job summary

Terrible Herbst is seeking an Assistant Manager Trainee to oversee customer service and daily c-store operations at our Las Vegas location. You will manage merchandising, inventory, and costs while ensuring excellent service and compliance with company policies.

The role involves staff supervision, training, and occasional travel to other district locations to support staffing needs. A strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work various shifts are essential.

Qualifications

Must be 21+ years of age and able to work in the United States.
Ability to communicate with customers in a busy store environment.
Stand for long periods and lift up to 45 lbs as needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
Reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

Deliver outstanding customer service in a fast‑paced c‑store environment.
Control shrink, expenses, and schedule employees per management guidelines.
Maintain merchandise stock levels and ensure perishables are within selling dates.
Ensure staff comply with policies and training requirements; monitor certifications.
Handle money and operate POS and store equipment accurately to minimize errors.
Support store operations and fuel surveys; cover shifts as needed and travel to other locations.
