Job summary

Refuel operates a growing network of convenience stores and fuel outlets. The C-Store Assistant Manager collaborates with the Store Manager to drive daily operations, profits, and guest satisfaction.

You’ll assist with hiring, training, and developing staff while maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and customer-ready store. The role requires flexibility with evenings, weekends, and some holidays, and you’ll lead by example to uphold safety and beverage compliance.

Responsibilities

• Work the days and hours needed to meet business requirements, typically five days per week, including some weekends.
• May work up to six days per week if short-staffed or not meeting performance standards.
• Work assigned shifts, including at least two nights per week.
• Support daily store operations and complete tasks per company policies and area manager direction.
• Ensure compliance with city, county, and state beverage laws.
• Provide prompt, courteous service to every customer.
• Lead and assist staff to maintain cleanliness and high store inspection scores.
• Complete required training and maintain customer-ready standards (restrooms, parking lot, fuel islands, counters, merchandise).
• Ensure accurate cash handling, register balancing, and timely bank deposits.
• Oversee daily workflow, recruit, hire, train, and develop team members, and conduct evaluations.
