Job summary

Applied Intuition, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer to join the Autonomy Framework team, building a core framework powering collaborative autonomy across air, ground, and maritime domains.

You will design high-performance C++ systems, integrate with domain platforms, and work with autonomy engineers, product teams, and customers to deliver scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong C++ programming skills with modern C++ (C++20 or later).
• Experience with Python and shell scripting for automation and tooling.
• Proficiency with agentic coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI-assisted development tools.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop Core Framework Software: Design and implement high-performance C++ systems that form the foundation of collaborative autonomy behaviors in multi-domain environments.
• Enable Collaborative Autonomy: Develop software that allows multiple autonomous agents to coordinate across domains.
• Support Multidisciplinary Teams: Work with autonomy engineers, product managers, and customers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Leverage Modern Development Tools: Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development and improve code quality.
• Optimize Performance: Profile, debug, and optimize code for real-time performance in constrained environments.
• Automate Workflows: Create scripts and tools to improve development velocity and testing efficiency.
