Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) in Delaware seeks a Registered Nurse III - Compliance Nursing to oversee NATCEP compliance in LTC facilities and schools. The role ensures curricula, faculty and operations meet state and Federal regulations, and conducts surveys and data analysis for quality assurance.

Summary Statement

The incumbent reviews and approves Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Programs (NATCEP) in Delaware. Ensures curriculum, faculty and the operations of NATCEPs in LTC facility and non-facility based schools are in compliance with State and Federal laws and regulations. Conducts new school, biennial and follow up surveys. Collects, compiles, and analyzes data and prepares detailed reports. Ensures Plans of Correction are acceptable and implemented to ensure quality healthcare education, and protection of residents in the state. Assists in the processing of CNA recertifications, reciprocities, and maintenance of Nurse Aide Registry for all CNA’s in the state of Delaware

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Registered Nurse III

Registered Nurse III - Compliance Nursing

  • Possession of a Bachelors degree or higher in Nursing and at least one year experience as a Registered Nurse OR a Masters degree or higher in Nursing.
  • Possession of a Delaware Registered Nurse license OR multi-state compact license.

This is a Casual/Seasonal position which is a non-pension eligible position without healthcare and/or other benefits.

Conditions of Hire

All new hires are required to report to the Statewide New Employee Orientation (SNEO) on their first day of employment. Sessions are held at designated locations in Kent or New Castle County.
