Job summary

Empower Mental Health is seeking a licensed Audiologist to perform Compensation & Pension evaluations for Veterans. This non-treatment role focuses on evaluation, testing, and documentation, with no ongoing patient care or insurance billing.

You will conduct VA-compliant audiology evaluations, review records, perform testing, and prepare clear reports. Flexible scheduling and opportunity to supplement income are offered, with in-person opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Audiologist license.
• Access to calibrated audiometer for VA evaluations.
• Access to diagnostic tympanometer for tympanometry and reflex testing.
• Master's degree or higher in relevant field.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.
• Objective, fact-based evaluation approach.
• Experience with Maryland CNC speech recognition testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct C&P audiology evaluations for Veterans.
• Perform structured hearing loss and tinnitus-related evaluations per VA guidelines.
• Review medical records and examination information.
• Obtain relevant history via focused interviews.
• Perform audiometric testing and document findings.
• Prepare clear VA-formatted reports.
• Provide objective findings without bias in veteran claims.
• Submit examination documentation within required timeframes.
• Maintain boundaries between evaluation and treatment.
• Follow ethical, legal and confidentiality requirements.
