Optima Care Partnership in White Plains, NY, is seeking CNAs for all shifts (7a-3p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a). Positions are unionized (1199), and offered as Per Diem and Part Time with every-other-weekend schedules.

The role provides direct resident care and assistance with daily living activities under supervision of licensed nurses, with emphasis on safety and infection control.

Qualifications

• Current New York State certification. Listed in the New York State Nurse Aide Registry.
• Two years nursing home experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Bathing, toileting and dressing residents; grooming and care.
• Assist with meals; feeding residents and assisting in dining rooms.
• Distribute nourishments as indicated.
• Make beds; maintain residents' unit and personal belongings.
• Keep unit clean; assist in station, pantry, day room and shower areas.
• Take vital signs, weights; monitor intake/output and collect specimens as directed.
• Report changes in residents' condition to District Nurse or Nurse Manager.
• Document care provided; complete daily care records and ADL forms.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and ROM; ensure safety.
• Provide daily activity reports to District Nurse/Relieving Nurse Aide.
• Follow infection control practices and standard precautions.
• Provide safe environment and assist with restorative activities as directed.
• Attend mandatory inservices and annual certification training.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Westchester County nursing facility is seeking C.N.A's for all shifts (7a to 3p, 3p to 11p and 11pto 7a). All positions will be every other weekend. And is an 1199 Union position as well as Per Diem and Part Time.

Below is a description of what the position entails:

Education/Experience/QUALIFICATIONS

• Current New York State certification. Listed in the New York State Nurse Aide Registry.
• Two years nursing home experience preferred.

Physical/Mental Qualifications

• Must be physically and mentally able to meet the needs of the residents in their care.
• Must be able to lift and transfer residents with or without mechanical lifts
• Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and move a minimum of fifty pounds (50 lbs.)
• Good physical health, muscle strength and dexterity. Good vision and hearing with or without corrective aides.
• Must be able to speak and write the English Language in an understandable manner.
• Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor when under pressure.

SCOPE:

Provides direct personal care and services to residents including,

but not limited to, safety, comfort and personal hygiene. May provide protection services to residents under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Duties and RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Bathe, toilet and dress residents. Combs hair, gives mouth and nail care and gives performs general resident grooming.*

2. Assists with meal service including passing of trays and helping to feed residents. Assists residents in the dining room and collects trays.*

3. Distributes nourishments when indicated.*

4. Makes beds and is responsible for complete care of residents' unit and personal possessions.*

5. Assists in the maintaining a clean unit, including, but not limited to, utility room, nurses' station, pantry, day room and shower room.*

6. Take vital signs, weights, measures intake and output, enemas and collects some specimens, test some specimens and report all results to the district nurse.

7. Report any and all changes in residents' conditions to the District Nurse and/or Nurse Manager.*

8. Document all pertinent information pertaining to resident care, including but not limited to, Nurse Aide Accountability Records, Activity of Daily Living Forms, vital signs and weights.*

9. Assists with ambulation, lifting, transferring residents, range of motion exercises, while maintaining proper body alignment and providing a safe environment. Transports residents throughout the facility.*

10. Responsible for giving report of residents' daily activities and nursing services rendered to the District Nurse/Relieving Nurse Aide and/or Nurse Manager before going off duty for break or end of shift.*

11. Follows acceptable infection control practices including standard/universal precautions.*

12. Provides a safe environment for the residents by monitoring day room activities and implementing restorative accommodations as directed by the Nurse Manager or District Nurse. *

13. Attends and completes all mandatory inservices required, including 12 hours of inservice to maintain certification.*

14. Perform other related duties as required.
