Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Liberty, MO is seeking a C Crew Operations Supervisor to oversee transportation, customs processes, and documentation for imported and exported products. You will ensure first-rate customer service and compliance with federal regulations.

This role requires four years of related experience, supervisory experience, and strong Microsoft Office skills. You will lead staff, manage performance, and coordinate with the operations manager on progress and issues.

C Crew Operations Supervisor - Liberty, MO

YOUR ROLE

The C Crew Operations Supervisor oversees transportation and customs processes, providing customer service for the shipment, receipt and documentation of imported and exported products in accordance with federal and foreign regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
  • Provide responsible supervision and control for all departmental activities; assist in retention, training, and staff performance management.
  • Conduct staff meetings to assess overall status, discuss improvement ideas, and inform staff of new developments.
  • Oversee performance statistics.
  • Establish, monitor, and revise policies, procedures and service standards for customs clearance operations as mandated by applicable regulations.
  • Communicate with operations manager regarding progress, problems, or issues.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule, including outside normal business hours and after‑hours on‑call rotation.
  • Effectively participate in or supervise department projects related to the assigned area of responsibility.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED; minimum four years of related experience; minimum one year supervisory experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Finance, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of work experience and education. Three years of industry experience preferred.
  • Credentials: Working knowledge of ITAR, Import Brokerage, Export Compliance, Hazmat Regulations and recordkeeping; some professional certifications may be required.
  • Skills: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
  • Characteristics: Ability to allocate work assignments; proven experience in problem analysis, presentation of alternatives, and implementation of solutions; ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
