Job summary

Sumter Utilities, Inc., a Quanta Services company, seeks a C Class Lineman with overhead distribution experience. The role is open to a C/Apprentice Lineman or Groundman/Equipment Operator ready to grow, with a strong path toward greater responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with overhead distribution lines.
• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CDL is highly preferred and may be required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while constructing, maintaining, or repairing energized or de-energized conductors under supervision.
• Maintain enrollment in SUI apprenticeship program.
• Capable of setting poles and anchors per safety specs.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
• Assist in conditions under which required to complete the job.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing and lifting.
• Learn distribution voltages, reading blueprints, and troubleshooting.
