Responsibilities

• Foreman — Provide direct supervision and technical guidance to Linemen, Apprentices and Groundmen performing maintenance and construction on electrical distribution and related equipment; coordinate on-site crew mobilization; enforce safety requirements; read site plans and scopes; manage supplies and equipment; plan, direct and budget activities related to distribution line construction; communicate with project personnel; travel as required.
• A Lineman — Perform rigorous physical labor and skilled line work, read blueprints, install and climb poles, perform bucket and digger derrick operations, maintain safety, and lead in absence of supervision.
• B Lineman — Similar to A Lineman with scope including new construction, maintenance or repairs of energized/de-energized lines, building and installing line structures, and safe operations.
• C Lineman — Be willing to enroll in SUI apprenticeship; capable of setting poles and anchors, reading blueprints, performing line work from aerial devices, safety-focused, and able to work at heights.
• Equipment Operator — Safe operation of heavy equipment (line/bucket trucks, knuckle cranes, digger derricks); set up and ground equipment; assist with pole/line installation; perform basic bucket rescue.
• Groundman — Assist crew with digging, hoisting materials, flag traffic, maintain tools, and support safety and site organization.

Qualifications

• Able/willing to travel long distances on short notice; able to work extended periods in various locations; able to work overtime when required.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance; strong work ethic and customer service.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; CDL preferred; must have or be able to obtain CDL within 90 days if hired without one.
