Job summary

HCLTech in Miner Wells, TX seeks an avionics V&V specialist with strong C programming and HSIT experience. You will conduct hardware-software integration testing for large-scale aerospace projects and ensure DO-178B/C compliance.

Qualifications include 5+ years in avionics V&V, hands-on ARINC 429/CAN/RS-232/422/UART/SPI protocol testing, and RTRT verification. Competitive pay with full benefits and a 30–48 USD/hour range.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in hardware-software integration testing (HSIT) for large-scale projects.
• Strong C programming and debugging skills with system-level focus.
• Knowledge of avionics flight instrumentation and DO-178B/C lifecycle.
• Experience applying ARINC 429, CAN, RS-232/422, UART and SPI protocols.
• Ability to analyze requirements and craft comprehensive test strategies.
• Develop, review, and execute system/software test cases and procedures.
• Familiar with defect tracking and PR management processes.
• Hands-on with verification tools such as RTRT.

• Develop and execute test plans and test cases for avionics software.
• Analyze system and software requirements to shape test strategy.
• Verify DO-178B/C lifecycle compliance throughout development.

• Collaborate across teams to resolve defects and performance issues.
• Maintain test documentation and traceability.

Experience in C application development, integration, and Troubleshooting/debugging of large-scale projects.

Experience in communication protocols TCP/IP, ARINC 429, RS-232, RS-422, UART, and SPI.

Experience in generating the make file and usage of compilers.

Knowledge of Avionics/ Flight Instrumentation and DO-178B/C Software development lifecycle.

Education/Experience:

Minimum experience of 4 years

Job Description:

• Skilled in testing of TSO/MOPs requirements and create test plan and test results.
• Understanding the system requirements and technical challenges and provides the resolution.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and Problem Report (PR) management processes.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $30/hour

Pay Range Maximum: $48/hour
