Brigham Young University in Provo, UT, invites applications for a part-time Massage Therapist in its Sports Medicine facilities. The role delivers 30-minute sessions to student-athletes referred by athletic staff or physicians, typically serving 10–15 athletes daily, with record-keeping and collaboration with trainers.

You must hold a current state license, have 2 years of professional massage experience, and be willing to uphold the Honor Code and temple recommend requirement for LDS members.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state license for massage therapy.
• 2 years’ experience as a professional massage therapist.
• Willingness to uphold and live by the university's Honor Code.
• New employees who are LDS members must hold a current temple recommend (verified during application).

Responsibilities

• Provide massage therapy to student-athletes referred by staff athletic trainer and/or physician.
• Provide 30-minute massages targeting student-athletes' needs.
• Serves up to 10–15 student-athletes per day.
• Suggest massage schedules for recurring sessions.
• Maintain treatment records.
• Collaborate with Athletic Trainers to administer appropriate treatment.
• Provide communication and feedback with trainers about student-athletes.
• Supervise five Athletic Training students and teach massage techniques.

Massage therapy includes manipulating the muscles and soft tissues of the body to provide relaxation, improve health, promote healing, and improve performance in student-athletes.
