iRiS Recruiting Solutions is assisting a large Tennessee-based company in Nashville to hire a Produce Buyer for its Fresh Sales team. This on-site role supports high-volume produce categories and requires a hands-on, detail-oriented buyer.

You will work with suppliers, manage inventories, negotiate pricing, forecast purchases, and coordinate transportation, warehouse, and logistics partners to keep product fresh, available, and profitable for customers.

Qualificações

• 3–4+ years of produce buying experience required.
• Strong understanding of produce commodities, growing regions, seasonality, and market pricing.
• Experience managing inventory, purchasing forecasts, and product quality.
• Ability to coordinate transportation, delivery schedules, and product availability.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor relationship management skills.

• Purchase and manage fresh produce categories, including tomatoes, East Coast vegetables, watermelons, and seasonal commodities.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels, product freshness, quality, and availability.
• Manage supplier relationships, pricing, purchasing schedules, and product availability.
• Navigate seasonal growing cycles, market fluctuations, and supply chain challenges.
• Collaborate with sales, warehouse operations, and third-party logistics partners to ensure timely product distribution.
• Support existing customer relationships while identifying opportunities to increase produce sales.

We’re partnering with a large company in Tennessee seeking a Produce Buyer to join its Fresh Sales team.

About the Opportunity

• On-site, Monday–Friday
• Approximately $1.5M in weekly produce sales
• Expanding operations to support increasing customer demand
• Power BI and inventory management systems

What You’ll Be Doing

• Purchase and manage fresh produce categories, including tomatoes, East Coast vegetables, watermelons, and seasonal commodities
