Job summary

MiTek Industries in Florida is seeking a seasoned Procurement professional to manage purchasing, supplier evaluation, and SAP-based Procure-to-Pay processes. You will analyze data, negotiate terms, and maintain supplier information to support MiTek’s operations.

The role requires 3+ years in procurement within industrial/manufacturing settings, strong SAP skills, and the ability to train others. Travel up to 10% may be required; excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of procurement experience in an industrial setting.
• Procurement experience with manufacturing facilities preferred.
• Proficiency in SAP MM module and Procure-to-Pay processes.
• SAP S/4HANA experience and reporting preferred.
• Deep understanding of safety stock management.
• Ability to train colleagues on purchasing processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing and order execution for assigned categories (MRO, Corporate Services, Facilities, Office Suppliers).
• Create, release, and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders in SAP S/4HANA.
• Identify sources of supply to support MiTek production and facility management.
• Interact with suppliers and team members to support Purchasing goals and data analysis.
• Lead projects and assist in training team members on procurement processes.

Job Responsibilities & RequirementsA Brief OverviewPurchases materials, supplies and services at the most favorable terms for the organization. Qualifies vendors, evaluates bids, and negotiates prices and terms for purchased goods and services. Tracks purchases, monitors vendor quality, and maintains a current database of vendor information. Accumulate data and analyze trends on spreadsheets and QAD system Tracks purchases, monitors vendor quality, and maintains a current database of vendor information. Lead projects as directed. This role has procurement responsibility to support business operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, cost-effectiveness, and supplier performance standards. Mostly local visits; infrequent (1-2 per year) overnight travel may be required. During initial year learning the business, additional overnights may be required to visit sites (4-5 overnights per year).Physical DemandsThis role is primarily performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role. As part of the essential functions of this role, the individual will need to access a factory and be exposed to temperature changes.
