Job Description: Role and Responsibilities
- This role reports directly to the VP of Operations.
- This role is responsible for Supply Chain activities related to the procurement, maintenance, and sustainability of the flow of materials to manufacturing.
- Define specifications in terms of optimal quantity on hand, in transit, and on order to ensure flow, cost, and delivery metrics are met.
- Select suppliers based on the type of product, quality provided, and the possibility of a long-term partnership.
- Negotiate contracts that include costs, warranties, delivery, handling, and penalties for late delivery or cost overruns.
- Manage the purchasing cycle, from purchase order to consumption.
- Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and ensure proper communication channels.
- Implement the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Challenge the status quo and demonstrate proactive actions for effective execution of responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related discipline from an accredited US institution.
- 3-7 years of progressive experience in supply chain, purchasing, or demand planning.
- Experience managing remote suppliers and manufacturers.
Skills
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or an MBA.
- Certification in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) from the Association for Supply Chain Management.
- Knowledge of operations and functionality of Business Central.
