Job summary

UK King’s Daughters is seeking a Buyer Associate to handle day-to-day purchasing operations, process purchase orders, and coordinate stock, non-stock, and capital items in our Ashland, Kentucky facility.

You will support requisition workflows, maintain accurate records, assist with month-end close, and help train staff on procurement systems and processes. This role is on-site and requires attention to detail and teamwork.

Processes purchase orders and coordinates supply arrangements for stock, non-stock, and capital items. Supports procurement activities through accurate record-keeping and compliance with organizational policies. Escalates issues or discrepancies to supervisor as needed. ## Essential Functions• Creates and processes purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established purchasing procedures.• Coordinates product returns, recalls and backorders, ensuring prompt resolution and compliance with purchasing standards and escalating complex issues to supervisor.• Responds to internal customer and supplier inquiries regarding order status, delivery timelines, and purchasing processes.• Maintains accurate purchasing records and documentation to support operational reporting performing routine tasks as assigned and escalating issues to supervisor.• Assists in month-end close and procurement record maintenance performing routine tasks as assigned and escalating issues to supervisor.• Investigates and resolves product returns, recalls, backorders, and new supply needs.• Supports requisitioner training and onboarding by sharing process knowledge and assisting with system navigation.• Performs other duties as assigned. ## Education RequirementHigh school diploma or equivalent experience ## Experience Requirement0-2 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant areaAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
