GAL Manufacturing is hiring a Buyer Agent in Bronx, NY. You will manage internal/external supply chains, generate POs, and align procurement with production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires 1–3 years of procurement experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to forecast demand while minimizing inventory and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related field.
• 1–2 years’ experience with ERP/MRP systems; Infor V11 preferred.
• 2–3 years of procurement experience in a make-to-order environment.
• Advanced Excel skills required; SQL, Python, or data analysis tools are a plus.
• APICS CPSM or CPIM/CSCP certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Purchase and procurement operations to maintain high customer service levels.
• Generate requisitions and issue POs to suppliers; maintain PO pricing and data in ERP.
• Collaborate with Scheduling, Production, and Manufacturing to align material orders with build schedules.
• Provide rolling 12-month forecast to suppliers to support planning.
• Establish and maintain optimal inventory levels and identify supply risks.
• Work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
• Lead cross-functional teams and communicate with internal/external stakeholders.
