Job summary

EPM Scientific is seeking an experienced Buyer to support direct materials procurement on a 6-month contract in Mooresville, North Carolina. The role backs an SAP transformation project and requires an immediate start.

You will manage POs in SAP, maintain supplier relationships, monitor inventories, and collaborate with procurement, supply chain and operations to ensure uninterrupted production.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of purchasing or procurement experience.
• Strong experience in direct procurement.
• SAP experience is required.
• Background in chemicals, specialty chemicals, manufacturing, or industrial sectors preferred.
• Ability to manage supplier relationships.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working in a plant-based manufacturing environment and following site safety procedures.

A leading chemicals manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Buyer to join its procurement team on an initial 6-month contract. This is a critical backfill position supporting a major SAP transformation project following a recent acquisition, with an immediate start preferred.

The Opportunity

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for the procurement of direct materials used within the manufacturing process, supporting operational continuity while key team members are engaged in an SAP implementation project. The role is heavily focused on purchasing chemical raw materials and working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
