We are looking for someone to join Team Yuma as Buyer working with the City of Yuma Finance Department – Procurement Division. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, multi-tasks, and meets deadlines.
Under basic supervision, purchases commodities in compliance with Federal, State and City rules and regulations; procures the most cost-effective supplies and materials from qualified vendors.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Associate's Degree in Business or Public Administration or related field; AND two years procurement experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Local, state, or federal government procurement experience preferred.
A valid Arizona State Driver's License may be required. Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) designation is preferred; additional technical training and certifications may be required.
Work is performed in a standard office environment and warehouse facilities. May occasionally be required to bend, reach, stoop, and lift objects.
