Job summary

Nvenia, part of the Duravant family, is seeking a Buyer to purchase material, parts, components, and MRO for Production and Aftermarket. You will quote, place orders, and manage supplier performance while coordinating with operations and sales.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing setting and an Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred. The role sits in an office with occasional plant visits and cross-functional collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Process orders including sending PO’s and confirmations.
• Follow up with suppliers.
• Confirm pricing.
• Expedite orders.
• Reconcile invoicing issues.
• Perform timely resolution of past due purchase orders to meet departmental goals.
• Assist with monitoring, tracking, and providing feedback on supplier’s performance, price, delivery, quality, and responsiveness.
• Quickly and efficiently process supplier quality returns.
• Ensure prompt communication of schedule changes throughout Operations, Sales and Lifecycle Services.
• Work with cross functional teams including shipping, stockroom, accounting, production, and planning.
• Communicate Bill of Material discrepancies to Engineering.
• Report inventory discrepancies to Warehouse Manager.
• Projects and other responsibilities as directed by manager.
