Job summary

nVenia, a Duravant family company, is seeking an Applications Engineer 2 to evaluate customer requirements, configure equipment, and prepare accurate quotations across product lines. You will collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Production, and Supply Chain to craft solutions that meet requirements and control project costs.

You will develop configurations in AutoCAD, validate concepts with internal teams, and support project kickoffs and field visits as needed to ensure

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of manufacturing and engineering processes.
• Experience in packaging and/or automation is a plus.
• Applications Engineering, Sales Engineering industries in an Engineering capacity (design and/or quoting) required.
• Technical writing experience preferred.
• Experience in AutoCAD, proficiency in Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review customer RFQs, specifications, and sales requests to determine equipment requirements and identify appropriate solutions.
• Develop equipment configurations and conceptual layouts using AutoCAD to meet customer specifications, space requirements, and production rates.
• Validate proposed equipment concepts with Engineering and other internal teams.
• Prepare accurate quotations and professional proposal documents for multiple product lines.
• Estimate project costs using historical data and input from Production, Supply Chain, Product Management, and Engineering.
• Collaborate with Sales to develop solutions that meet customer requirements and highlight nVenia’s equipment capabilities.
• Support project kickoffs by communicating quoted configurations and customer requirements to Engineering.
• Provide technical support to Field Sales, including customer visits and travel as needed.
• Develop a strong understanding of nVenia’s equipment across multiple product lines, including capabilities, applications, and configurations.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Applications Engineer 2 evaluates customer requirements, develops equipment configurations, and prepares accurate quotations for nVenia’s product lines. This role works closely with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Production, and Supply Chain to develop solutions that meet customer needs and ensure accurate project costs.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Solid knowledge of manufacturing and engineering processes
• Knowledge and experience in the packaging and/or automation industry a plus
• Applications Engineering, Sales Engineering industries in an Engineering capacity (design and/or quoting) required
• Sales engineering background a plus
• Technical writing experience preferred
• Experience in AutoCAD, proficiency in Word and Excel
