KLA is seeking a procurement professional in Totowa, NJ to support direct materials purchasing, supplier coordination, and RFP management. The role focuses on ensuring material availability and aligning supplier activity with the production plan and build schedule.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of buyer experience in a controlled manufacturing setting, with ERP system expertise (SAP or similar). Work involves cross-functional collaboration and ongoing supplier performance monitoring.

• Experience in high-mix components and assemblies

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders for direct materials per MRP or reorder point
• Ensure timely materials availability per planning requirements and build plan
• Review reports to mitigate shortages (Open order, WIP Shortage)
• Communicate with suppliers for on-time or delayed deliveries to align with plan
• Manage the RFP process from creation to bid evaluation and vendor selection
• Coordinate with suppliers on non-conformances and MRB replacements or repairs
• Coordinate ECOs and phasing in of new revisions
• Work with Inventory Analyst during END review and proposed actions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of procured materials and services
• Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and maintain records

What You'll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

• Place Purchase Orders for direct materials per requirements driven by MRP or Re-order Point system
• Ensure timely materials availability per planning requirements and build plan
• Review and analyze the reports to mitigate shortages (Open order report, WIP Shortage report etc.)
• Communicate with suppliers for early or delayed deliveries as required to align with build plan
• Manage the entire request for proposal (RFP) process, from creation and distribution to the evaluation of bids and final vendor selection.
• Liaise with suppliers on non-conformance issues and work with suppliers on replacements or repairs- MRB
• Communicate with Suppliers on engineering change orders (ECO) and co-ordinate phasing in of the new revision
• Work with Inventory Analyst by providing recommendation during quarterly END review and follow through the action propose
• Collaborate with cross functional departments to understand their specific needs and ensure the timely delivery of all procured materials and services
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), addressing any issues to ensure adherence to agreed-upon service levels.
• Maintain accurate and organized procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information.

Total Rewards Base Pay Range: $81,500.00 - $119,567.00 Annually
