Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer for a 6-month contract in Thousand Oaks, CA. This role handles purchasing of complex materials, negotiates terms, and supports R&D and manufacturing operations.

Requires a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor's preferred), at least 2 years as a Buyer, and experience with Deltek Costpoint and Solumina. Onsite work, 8 AM–5 PM; pay is $30–$34 per hour.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of direct experience as a Buyer required.
• Preferred Systems Experience: Deltek Costpoint and/or Solumina is highly desirable.

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly adaptable Buyer to join our procurement team for a 6-month contract assignment. This role is responsible for purchasing specialized, complex materials, equipment, software, and services in strict accordance with corporate purchasing regulations and government procurement standards. Operating in a dynamic, high-volume environment, the Buyer will interface with suppliers and internal teams, negotiate terms, manage vendor contracts, and leverage ERP systems to support cutting-edge R&D and manufacturing operations.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Professional development coursework in procurement management is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of direct experience as a Buyer required.
• Preferred Systems Experience: Prior experience using Deltek Costpoint (ERP) and/or Solumina (Quality/MES System) is highly desirable.

Salary: $30 - $34 per hour. Shift: First. Work Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM. Education: High School.

• ERP Data Management: Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems daily to track orders, manage vendor records, and generate procurement reports.
• Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with vendors and internal customers using patience, diplomacy, and tact to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to Teledyne and government specifications.
