Job summary

TechniPower, Inc. in Saint Louis, MO is seeking an experienced Buyer to handle purchasing for a manufacturing client. The role focuses on sourcing raw materials, electronic components and tools for custom projects on site.

The contract-to-permanent position requires 3+ years in manufacturing purchasing, ERP experience (Emcompix preferred), and the ability to read drawings and BOMs. You will negotiate with vendors and track orders to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply chain or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years purchasing in a manufacturing/automation environment.
• Familiar with machining, fabrication, electrical components (motors, drives, sensors, relays, etc.).
• Responsible for purchasing mechanical, electrical and pneumatic components.
• ERP experience in a job shop environment (Emcompix preferred but open to SAP, SAGE etc.).
• Able to read technical drawings, blueprints and BOMs.
• Able to work with vendors and suppliers - negotiate price and terms.
• Track orders and expedite delivery of items when needed.

In this role, you will be working as a Buyer for a client that works in the manufacturing industry. This position will be responsible for purchasing, including sourcing of raw materials, electronic components and other tools required for custom projects.

This is a contract to possible permanent role that is a long term need for my client. This position must be worked on site.

Pay; $55,000-$65,000/Yr.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Business or Supply chain or equivalent experience
