Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Buyer to drive material and service procurement for key product lines. Based in Virginia with a hybrid schedule, you’ll ensure timely, cost-effective supply to keep production moving and collaborate across teams and suppliers to resolve challenges and improve performance.

You will own supplier relationships, generate POs in SAP, resolve shortages, drive KPIs, support supplier setup, and ensure guideline compliance while partnering with quality and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years in procurement or supply chain.
• Experience with SAP.
• Strong communication and MS Excel skills.

Electrification & Automation

The Electrification & Automation (E&A) Business Unit provides a full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets. We support today’s power distribution needs while investing in future technologies to build the power grid of tomorrow.

The Prince George facility is a contract manufacturer who will deliver integrated electrical skid assemblies that combine power distribution and power conversion equipment with protection and automation systems. Electrical skids provide outdoor rated, modular, value-add solutions for key vertical markets to improve delivery reliability and lower total cost of ownership for customers. We are located in the heart of the Research Triangle, about 20 minutes east of Raleigh. We are looking for a Buyer. This position will report to the Knightdale, NC office, but will be based in, and support the Prince George, VA location. The typical schedule will be in office 2-3 days, remote 2-3 days.

Position Overview

Join Siemens Industry’s Electrification & Automation Business Unit as aBuyer, where you’ll drive material and service procurement for key product lines. You’ll ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality supply to keep production moving—while collaborating across teams and suppliers to solve challenges and improve performance.

You’llmake an impact by:

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3–5 years in procurement or supply chain
• Experience with SAP
• Strong communication and Microsoft Office skills - esp. Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiar with SieOps
• Familiar with MV power distribution equipment
• Customer-focused, collaborative, and adaptable
• Self-starter with problem-solving and decision-making skills
