Qualifications

  • Completion of a relevant Trade School program or afield-related AAS degree.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and national electrical codes.
  • State Licensed Journeyman Electrician preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, maintain, and repair facility and production electrical systems.
  • Layout, install, alter, and repair electrical wiring, communication, and control systems.
  • Troubleshoot circuit breakers, switchgear, transformers, inverters, and ATS.
  • Fabricate special units for electrical measurement, control, and communication systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance specs.
  • Diagnose electrical issues and perform repairs per specs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Support process control instrumentation and develop standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain technical, maintenance, and compliance records.
  • Follow Siemens safety rules and electrical codes.

Electrification & Automation

The Electrification & Automation (E&A) Business Unit provides a full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets. We support today’s power distribution needs while investing in future technologies to build the power grid of tomorrow.

The Knightdale facility will deliver integrated electrical skid assemblies that combine power distribution and power conversion equipment with protection and automation systems. Electrical skids provide outdoor rated, modular, value-add solutions for key vertical markets to improve delivery reliability and lower total cost of ownership for customers.

We are looking forskilled Electrician. This position will be based in Raleigh/Knightdale, NC, a new greenfield startup plant.

Overview

This salaried position supports electrical infrastructure and production operations at the Siemens EA facility in the Raleigh/Knightdale, NC area. The role is a key technical contributor in a manufacturing startup environment and supports skid assembly andone ‑ of ‑ a ‑ kindproduction operations.

Working closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and EHS teams, this role focuses on electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The position supports safe operations, equipment reliability, and compliance with Siemens standards and electrical codes.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role supportsday ‑ to ‑ dayelectrical activities aligned with operational priorities including safety, quality, delivery, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, install,maintain, and repair facility and production electrical systems
  • Layout, install, alter, and repair electrical wiring, communication, and control systems
  • Supporttroubleshootingcircuit breakers, switchgear, transformers, inverters, and automatic transfer switches
  • Fabricatespecial ‑ purposeunits for electrical measurement, control, and communication systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance specifications
  • Diagnose electrical issues and complete repairs per approved specifications
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting on equipment and systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
  • Support process control instrumentation and develop standard operating procedures for production employees
  • Maintain required technical, maintenance, and compliance records
  • Follow and support Siemens safety rules, policies, and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations

You’llwin us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Completion of a relevant Trade School program or afield ‑ relatedAAS degree
  • 3 to 5 years of industrial electrical experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of local, state, and national electrical codes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Havinghands ‑ onexperience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
  • State Licensed Journeyman Electrician
  • Showing strong electrical troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing setting
  • Havingworkingtechnical knowledge of:
    • Electricity
    • Process control instrumentation
    • Writing standard work instructions
    • Manufacturing and process equipment
    • Welding and fabrication
    • Piping systems
    • Personal computing
  • Being safety focused and detail oriented
  • Working well in a startup or changing manufacturing environment

The pay range for this position is $44,520 - $76,320 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
