Job summary

DO & CO in Miami, FL seeks a dynamic Buyer to support hospitality and airline catering operations. You will complete purchase orders, manage inventory, and ensure timely deliveries in coordination with receivers and vendors.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of F&B purchasing experience, a bachelor’s degree is preferred, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Navision knowledge is a plus for monitoring supplier performance and quality to meet specs.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in food & beverage purchasing or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Hands-on approach to ensure on-time orders and dispatch.
• Strong prioritization and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily/weekly/monthly purchase orders.
• Coordinate with receivers/buyers to approve deliveries.
• Authorize payments after reviewing invoices.
• Maintain inventory levels aligned with goals.
• Monitor supplier performance (timeliness and quality).
• Log delivery reports and register goods in Navision.
• Track and clear open POs and voids in ERP.
• Conduct monthly inventory counts.
• Ensure compliance with specifications and food safety.
• Contribute to policy and procedure development.
• Update stock records and order status for management.
• Assess incoming stock quality and address discrepancies.

Responsibilities:

• Complete daily/weekly/monthly purchase orders.
• Facilitate approval and ensure accuracy of deliveries in coordination with receivers/buyers.
• Authorize payments by reviewing invoices/documentation.
• Maintainproper inventory levels aligned with inventory goals.
• Monitor supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, and specs).
• Input delivery reports (CCP) and register goods in Navision.
• Monitor CCP1 quality and correct receivers as needed.
• Follow up on open POs; clear void POs in ERP.
• Conduct monthly inventory counts.
• Ensure compliance with specifications and food safety.
• Perform special projects as assigned.
• Participate in creating policies and procedures.
• Update inventory and maintainoptimalstock levels.
• Process requisitions and update management on order status.
• Assess quality of incoming stock; elevate discrepancies.
• Perform additionalduties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year experiencein a similar food & beverage role.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Hands-on approach to ensure on-time flight dispatch.
• Ability to manage deficiencies in purchasing.
• Strong prioritization and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strongcustomer service focus.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures and meet operational demands (including nights, weekends, holidays).
