Job summary

Q-Edge Corporation, part of Foxconn Technology Group, seeks a detail-oriented Buyer to join the Supply Chain team in Houston. You will handle raw material purchasing, inventory planning, import/export coordination, and supplier management to ensure uninterrupted production.

The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include managing material forecasts, coordinating PSI reports with Material Control, and tracking shipments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Purchase raw materials and ensure suppliers meet delivery commitments.
• Manage material forecasts, backlog reports, and SAP-based MRP plans.
• Coordinate PSI reports with Material Control to monitor material coverage.
• Maintain raw material lead times based on procurement strategies.
• Meet with Material Program Management teams to update supply plans.
• Coordinate imports/exports within FTZ and manage RMA process.
• Resolve shortages and support cross-factory transfers.
• Track shipment schedules (ETD/ETA) and communicate with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to maintain smooth supply chain operations.

About the Role

Q-Edge Corporation, a Foxconn Technology Group company, is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to join our Supply Chain team. In this role, you will be responsible for raw material purchasing, inventory planning, import/export coordination, and supplier management to ensure uninterrupted production. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchase raw materials and ensure suppliers meet delivery commitments.
• Manage material forecasts, backlog reports, and maintain accurate supply plans in SAP for MRP.
• Coordinate Supply, Demand, and Inventory (PSI) reports with Material Control (MC) to monitor material coverage.
• Maintain raw material lead times based on customer procurement strategies.
• Meet regularly with Material Program Management (MPM) teams to provide updates on material supply plans.
• Coordinate bonded material imports and exports within Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ) and manage the RMA process.
• Resolve material shortages and support cross-factory material transfers.
• Track shipment schedules, including ETD (Estimated Time of Departure) and ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival).
• Work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth supply chain operations.

QualificationsRequired

• 1-3 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Preferred

• Experience working with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems.

• Knowledge of import/export processes and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations.

Working Conditions

• Office-based position in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Occasional overtime or non-core working hours may be required to support business operations and urgent supply chain needs.
• Ability to respond to after-hours operational issues when necessary.
