Job summary

Alfa Laval Mid Europe GmbH is seeking an onsite Buyer in Broken Arrow, OK. You will manage purchasing activities for assigned suppliers and categories, secure on-time delivery, quality and cost performance, and build long-term supplier partnerships across functions.

You will support supplier evaluations, negotiations and contract management, collaborate with production, engineering, logistics, quality and sustainability teams, and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, operations management, or related field.
• 3+ years’ purchasing/sourcing/supply chain/procurement operations experience.
• Experience with suppliers in industrial/manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, negotiations and supplier management.
• Understanding of sustainability, compliance and responsible sourcing.
• Experience with ERP systems and procurement tools.
• Strong English communication, both written and spoken.

About the job

As a Buyer, you will manage sourcing and purchasing activities for selected categories, components, or suppliers. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure quality, delivery performance, compliance, and continuous improvement across the supply base. The role combines operational purchasing with strategic supplier collaboration. You will help build strong supplier relationships, support sustainability targets, and contribute to a resilient and efficient sourcing organization. You are organized, proactive, and solution oriented. You enjoy working with people across functions, cultures, and regions, and you build relationships through collaboration and accountability.

This is an onsite position located in Broken Arrow, OK.

As a part of the team, you will:

• Manage purchasing activities for assigned suppliers, materials, or categories

• Build and maintain long-term supplier partnerships based on trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Support supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract management activities
• Work closely with production, engineering, logistics, quality, and sustainability teams
• Monitor supplier performance using key performance indicators and improvement plans
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and increase supply chain resilience
• Support sourcing projects connected to new products, capacity expansion, and operational improvements
• Ensure compliance with Alfa Laval policies, sustainability requirements, and relevant regulations
• Contribute to responsible sourcing practices, including supplier sustainability assessments and risk management
• Help drive digitalization and process improvements within procurement operations
• Participate in cross-functional and global sourcing initiatives when relevant

What you know:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, operations management, or a related field, preferred with relevant experience, and/or 3 or more years’ experience in purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, or procurement operations and:
• Experience working with suppliers in an industrial or manufacturing environment is an advantage
• Knowledge of procurement processes, negotiations, and supplier management
• Understanding of sustainability, compliance, and responsible sourcing principles
• Experience working with enterprise resource planning systems and procurement tools
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken

The base salary for this role is typically $82,000.00-$97,000.00.
