Role Description

The Buyer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bellevue, OH. This position is responsible for sourcing and purchasing raw materials, components, and supplies needed for production, ensuring that quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met. Day-to-day activities include managing supplier relationships, requesting and evaluating quotes, placing purchase orders, and monitoring inventory levels to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations. The Buyer collaborates with production, engineering, and finance teams to forecast demand, resolve material issues, and optimize purchasing strategies. The role also involves maintaining accurate purchasing records, analyzing spend data, and contributing to continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing or industrial environment, including supplier negotiation and purchase order management.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to interpret inventory data, monitor lead times, and prioritize multiple sourcing activities.
• Proficiency with ERP or MRP systems and common office software (e.g., spreadsheets, databases, and email tools) to manage purchasing workflows and documentation.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with suppliers and cross-functional internal teams in a professional and respectful manner.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in pricing, terms, and documentation, with a focus on cost control and timely delivery.
• Knowledge of basic contract terms, quality requirements, and logistics concepts; experience with global suppliers is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, operations, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Ability to work on-site full time in Bellevue, OH, including occasional visits to suppliers or other company locations as needed.
