Successful, privately-held manufacturer is seeking a Strategic Buyer to be responsible for sourcing, analytics, inventory, cycle counts, and procurement for a fast-paced manufacturer. As the Strategic Buyer, you will report to a Director and will work closely with one other buyer. Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks:
This is a fast-paced position that requires qualified candidates to wear multiple hats and be able to support a collaborative, team-oriented working culture. Individuals should be able to learn new tasks and commodities quickly, be able to handle changing priorities and enjoy supporting the manufacturing site. 1. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred; experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
2. Depending on level of education, at least 2-3 years in a similar fast-paced, strategic buyer position
3. Experience purchasing direct materials for production; additional MRO procurement would be ideal
4. Experience with inventory and cycle counts
6. Experience sourcing new vendors
7. ERP experience
8. Microsoft Excel experience, including charts, graphs, formulas, and macros
1. APICS certification
2. Experience working for privately held organizations
