Job summary

Select Milk Producers is seeking a Butter Department Supervisor to oversee daily operations, production planning, and quality assurance within the butter facility. You will collaborate with Plant Manager to ensure GMP compliance and efficient processes across personnel and equipment.

The role emphasizes leadership, training, and continuous improvement in a dairy processing environment, with a focus on safety, data accuracy, and team coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Dairy or Food Science and four years of experience in a Plant leadership role in a Dairy or Food Manufacturing facility is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation and production schedule of the butter department.
• Review out-of-spec product with Plant Manager.
• Audit butter department and ensure GMPs are followed.
• Review losses in Butter room with Plant Manager.
• Review CIP records and sanitation checks daily.
• Monitor and train employees; manage overtime with plant management.
• Ensure butter room equipment is maintained and serviced.
• Participate in Food Safety and Food Quality Teams.
• Maintain raw material inventory records and communicate needs to upper management.
