Mahler Private Staffing seeks an experienced Butler/House Manager for a private estate in the greater Philadelphia area. The role focuses on hospitality-driven service, discreet operations, and high standards of estate management.

You will collaborate with house staff to maintain, enhance, and oversee services for the family and guests, delivering both formal and informal dining experiences with poise and initiative.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a butler or house manager in private estates or luxury hospitality.
• Patient, warm, and calm with a team-oriented approach and respect for long-tenured staff.
• Energetic and capable of staying on feet and active across a large estate.
• Polished, discreet, and intuitive with a talent for anticipating needs.
• Flexible schedule is essential and proactive in meeting family needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of the home, maintaining estate and amenities to high standards.
• Provide attentive yet discreet service to the family and guests.
• Deliver formal and informal food and beverage service, including table settings and entertaining.
• Collaborate with housekeeper, property manager, chef, and staff.
• Coordinate outside vendors for property services and seasonal deep cleaning.
• Support evolving family needs with flexibility and a positive attitude.
• Report to the family office.

Tucked away on a private estate in the greater Philadelphia area, a warm and welcoming family has created a home that is full of life. Between busy family schedules, time spent enjoying the grounds, and entertaining friends and guests, there is always something happening, and the family takes great pride in a home that runs beautifully.

Over the years, they have built a loyal, long-standing team around them. Now they are looking for the final piece: an experienced Butler / House Manager who brings a hospitality-driven touch to every detail and can help take the home to a new level of service.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the home, keeping the estate and its amenities maintained to the highest standards.
• Provide attentive yet discreet, "invisible" service to the family and their guests.
• Deliver formal and informal food and beverage service, including table settings and entertaining.
• Work closely and collaboratively with the existing housekeeper, property manager, chef, and supporting staff.
• Coordinate outside vendors for property services and seasonal deep cleaning.
• Help elevate the overall level of service in the home with fresh ideas and polished hospitality.
• Support the family's evolving needs with flexibility and a positive attitude.
• Report to the family office.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a butler or house manager in a private estate, or a strong background in luxury hospitality or high-end food and beverage service.
• Patient, warm, and calm, with a team-oriented approach and respect for long-tenured staff.
• Energetic, with the stamina to be on your feet and active throughout a large estate.
• Polished, discreet, and intuitive, with a talent for anticipating needs before they arise.
• A flexible schedule is essential.
• Excellent references from prior principals or employers.

Compensation:

Our client is offering a highly competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus a full benefits package. Compensation and relocation is flexible for the right candidate. Annual salary range $140 - $160K+.
