Job summary

Hotel Investment Services, Inc. is seeking a Busser for the Pier restaurant for the 2026 Summer Season. This position is seasonal and hourly, with full-time or part-time options, reporting to the General Manager.

The role involves clearing and resetting tables, assisting servers, and helping maintain a clean, welcoming dining area. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, physically fit, and available to work weekends and holidays in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Passion for customer service and working in the restaurant industry.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• The ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal communication abilities and an eye for details.
• Physically fit and able to be on your feet for long periods of time
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers with queries, requests, and redirecting as necessary.
• Ensuring that tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset between seatings.
• Assisting with serving food and refilling beverages as required.
• Assisting with the cleaning and processing of dirty dishes and silverware.
• Ensuring that the menus, crockery, and cutlery are clean, polished and replenished between tables.
• Managing the inventory of napkins, straws, salt, pepper, and other table condiments and supplies.
• Reporting any damages, shortages, and complaints to the manager.
• Moving tables, chairs, and furniture to accommodate customers as needed.
• Tidying the restaurant after service and ensuring that it is prepped for the following service.

Job Summary

The Pier is now hiring for the 2026 Summer Season.

Are you highly organized? Do you have a keen eye for detail? Do you love the idea of helping to make a guest’s dining experience second to none? Consider being a busser?

Our bussers assist and support our serving staff at our restaurant by cleaning, clearing and setting tables, and assisting customers with requests or complaints. A skilled busser should be good with their hands, highly efficient, and be able to provide a great level of customer service.
