Job summary

The Washington Crossing Inn, part of Genesis Hospitality, is seeking a busser to join a team-oriented dining staff. No experience is required and on-site training is available. The ideal candidate is flexible to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, clearing and resetting tables, delivering items to tables, and assisting servers during peak periods. A positive attitude and cooperative spirit are valued to ensure smooth service.

Job Summary: The Washington Crossing Inn is seeking for a team-oriented candidate for the Busser position. No experience required to apply. On-site training available. Candidate must be willing to work weekends and/or holidays if needed.

Responsibilities:

• Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift.
• Promptly greet guests as they are seated.
• Remove used tableware between courses and provided tableware for next course.
• Clear tables after guests.
• Take tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing.
• Promptly clean tables tops, chairs and booths between seating.
• Check floor and clean as required.
• Respond appropriately to guest’s requests.
• Communicate guest’s requests as needed.
• Communicate with server and hostess to assure efficient seating, table utilization and customer service.
• Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods.
• Thank guests as they are leaving,
• Be available to fill in as need to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the diner as directed by the manager or immediate supervisor.

Physical Demands:

• The employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
• The employee is frequently required to stand and walk
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision & focus

Working Conditions

• Restaurant environment.
• The noise level in this workplace is usually moderate to high.

Education and Experience

• Bilingual in Spanish a plus, however, not required
