Job summary

Ghirardelli Chocolate Company is seeking staff for guest services and dishroom support in our California location. You will provide exceptional guest service, maintain cleanliness, and stay informed on products, pricing, and company history to answer questions and upsell where appropriate.

Responsibilities include following food safety guidelines, maintaining dishwashing areas and glassware, laundering uniforms, and ensuring all facilities are clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional Guest service
• Maintain dishroom to Company Standards of cleanliness, arrangement, and display
• Maintain detailed knowledge of all products, pricing, and Company History
• Utilize knowledge of products and pricing to satisfy guest inquiries and create up-sell opportunities
• Follow Food Safety guidelines and maintain all table tops, serve ware, dish equipment, laundry equipment, floors and trash receptacles in a clean and sanitary condition
• Maintain the stockroom in a clean and orderly fashion
• Maintain Guest and Employee Washing Facilities in good working order and in a clean, sanitary condition
• Properly Set Up, Maintain, and Break Down dishroom
• Clean glassware, spoons, pots, and other service items in a timely fashion
• Keep knowledge level current of all fountain products and their required preparation
• Perform “Semi-Table Service" function as part of overall Guest Satisfaction
• Empty trash cans and make trash runs, maintain the trash storage area
• Launder dirty uniforms, towels, and other items as needed to ensure plentiful, clean supply
